Privacy Policy

LudoX is a Ludo and Snakes & Ladders game. This policy says what the app collects, why, and what it does not collect. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What we collect

Your phone number. You sign in with it. A code is sent to it by SMS through Google Firebase Authentication, and the number is how your account, your tokens and your friends are found again on your next sign-in.

Your name, and your photo if you add one. Shown to other players on the board, in Nearby and in Friends. The photo is optional; without one the app draws a picture from your number instead.

Your country. Chosen by you at sign-up, shown as a flag beside your name.

Your location, only if you allow it. Used by the NEARBY screen to sort other players by distance. If you refuse the permission, Nearby still works — everyone simply shows as "distance unknown". We store the last position you shared and nothing else; there is no history of where you have been.

How you played. Games played, won and lost, pieces captured, and your rating. This is what the leaderboard and your profile are made of.

Purchases. Token packs and the premium subscription are bought through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; we never see your card. We keep a record of which pack was bought so the tokens can be credited and so a dispute can be traced.

Advertising. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID. You can reset or limit that ID in your Android settings; the premium subscription removes the ads entirely.

Your messages and calls

Messages between friends are end-to-end encrypted. The keys are made on your phone and never leave it. Our server passes along the encrypted bytes and can read none of it — not the text, not the photos, not the voice notes.

Chat history is kept on your phone, not on our server. If a friend is offline, the encrypted message waits on the server until they next sign in, and is deleted once delivered. Clearing a chat in the app removes it from your device.

Voice and video calls connect directly between the two phones wherever the network allows. Our server only passes the setup messages that let the two find each other. Calls are not recorded.

What we do NOT collect

Who your data is shared with

Each of these is a Google service and governed by Google's own privacy policy. Nobody else receives your data.

How long it is kept

Your account is kept while it exists. Delete it and your profile, stats, friends and token balance are removed from our servers. A record of completed purchases is kept where the law requires it.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings → My profile → Delete account. You can also write to the address above and ask, from the number the account uses.

Children

LudoX is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has made an account, write to us and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything significant is announced in the app.
